Matisse “Visage” is a brush and Indian ink drawing from the collection of Claude Duthuit, Matisse’s grandson. It is one of a series of faces drawn two years before the artist’s death. Some other Matisse “faces” are currently housed in major world museums like The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and the Pierre and Tana Matisse Foundation.
